A VIRTUAL TOUR OF CENTRAL LONDON

Using the Visual Flight London package for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 I will take you on a quick pictorial tour around central London and the Docklands(with realtime weather). We start on the helipad of the Royal London Hospital in Whitechapel. The sun setting and the "City" in the background.

Flying past 30 St. Mary Axe (otherwise known as the "Gherkin") with Lloyd's of London building to the left and Tower 42 (the NatWest Tower) to the right. A bit cloudy no?
You can just about see Charing Cross Station below with Hungerford Bridge to the left and the London Eye and County Hall in the top left corner.
The area of Victoria with Portland House in the middle of the picture. Green Park is at the bottom of the picture. The London Eye taking centre stage in this picture with Hungerford railway bridge above. Running alongside the rail bridge is the Golden Jubilee Footbridges (a special place for this Penguin).
Here we have (from closest) The Millennium (wobbly) Bridge, Southwark Bridge, Cannon Street Railway Bridge, London Bridge and finally Tower Bridge. This Penguin has a fantastic memory of walking across The Millennium Bridge on a cold Novembers day with someone special. Also the Tate Modern Gallery appears on the right.
We're in the Docklands now. This is West India Quay and the tallest building in the picture is 1 West India Quay which houses a beautiful Marriott Hotel (trust me).
An unusual view of One Canada Square better known as Canary Wharf (bottom left), The HSBC Tower (centre-ish), One Churchill Place (the Barclays building) and the Citigroup building can be seen poking up in the bottom right.
And finally London City Airport. A great little airport thats just a stone throw from the centre of London
Well that completes my virtual tour of London, hope you have enjoyed it.
Penguin thought of the day. "Why do Italians speak so loud?"

FEELING BLUE

This Penguin has been feeling very unwell this weekend. A two day long headache (feeling like a thousand atom bombs going off one after the other), coughing and dizziness... very blue indeed. But fortunately this Penguin had someone to look after him... Penguin says "thank you very much, couldn't have made it without you".

If like this little Penguin you have been feeling a blue here is something to cheer you up (and more proof penguins are taking over).

Its French by the way.

GUESS WHERE????

This Penguin has a little puzzle for you. Can you tell where this screenshot from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 is meant to be. All the roads and stuff are in the right place so you should be able to match it up to a map. You can click on the picture to enlarge it and here is a clue for you... its somewhere in London.
The above screenshot was taken from Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 using Ultimate Terrain Europe from Flight1 software and the Cessna 182 Skylane II RG from Carenado.
