PENGUIN POSTER

The Docklands Light Railway (DLR) are now using penguins in their posters on safety. This penguin thinks it is a wise move. Yes penguins are taking over the world... bit by bit! And it is wise of the DLR to accept this change and to begin phasing us into every day life. Its all a part of our plan (evil laugh).

Here are some pictures of a short flight I did on my flight simulator yesterday evening. The flight was a AirOne flight (AP4117) from Rome Fiumicino airport to Genoa Sestri airport using a Boeing 737. The flight was scheduled for only 1 hour but a combination of ground traffic and a strange vectored approach into Genoa made me late by 20 minutes. Well here are some pictures of the flight.

The scenery's of the two Italian airports are from Italian Scenery Design Project and the aircraft is from the Feelthere/Wilco 737 Package. Well I hope I didn't bore you with those pictures.

ANNOYED PENGUIN

Theres one thing that really annoys this Penguin and that Chuggers. You know who they are, those charity people that will stop you on the street and try and get money out of you for something or other. But now they have been join on the streets by another group of pavement terrorists. The free paper people. Usually seen outside tube stations handing out one of the two free papers we have now. Whats especially funny is that you get vendors for both papers handing them out side by side... competing (I like to imagine) to hand out the most papers. This Penguin wonders if they ever start to fight each other. If they did, this Penguin would definitely take a paper (from the winner of course).

In other news... Theres more than one of us! The day when the penguin will rule the earth is fast approaching, be afraid, be very afraid.

PENGUIN FLYING

I always wanted to be a pilot but never could really. So this interest led me to Microsoft Flight Simulator (thanks to my uncle). I was able to indulge my passion for the skies and to fulfil my dream of being a pilot... virtually speaking of course, I'm not so deluded in so far as thinking its real. It allows me to have a hint at what could have been. I don't have the money to become a pilot (cost thousands and thousands just to get to fly the small planes) for one thing and ah yes I'm red-green colour blind (or so they say). Some people may think its strange to 'fly' on your computer, it may well be but I don't care but still I don't like to tell too many people (and definitely not strangers) what my hobby is. What I like about flight simulator so much is the variedness of it, from bush flying right through to airline flying. I myself prefer airline flying. The planning, the procedures and of course BIG jets. Other people go out, do outdoor activities but I like sometimes to sit for a couple of hours and plan a flight (you have weights to balance, fuel to calculate and routes to plan) and fly it so between London and Milan for example. Here is a list of the last five flights I've done:
Paris to Milan
Nice to London
London to Bilbao
Glasgow to London
London to Hamburg
I know what your thinking "sadoooooooooo", maybe your right but I'm not harming anyone else and I enjoy it. But I think the best way to explain my world is to show you, so I've added a few pictures of my game. The flight is from Princess Juliana International Airport on Saint Martin Island in the Caribbean to Saint Barthelemy Island nearby. Click on the airport names to see a picture of the real deal. The flight is short and sweet and shows off the best scenery available for flight simulator, which is the Saint Martin package by FlyTampa.

There you have it, my hobby. I hope you like the look of it. I will continue to talk of it so get used to it haha!

AWAY

The Penguin has been away for quite some time now (he's been on a sort of holiday expect you can't go any where) but the Penguin is back and reformed... arh I mean relaxed.
